San Diego Cidery

Raging Cider & Mead Co was founded in 2015 with a stubborn belief in doing things the long way. From our small, working family cidery in San Diego, we hand pick and forage local apples and fruit from orchards from San Diego to Julian and ferment them natively on site.

Inspired by English, French, and Spanish cider traditions, our work explores a distinctly San Diego expression of cider.

The result is dry, bright cider with structure—tannic when it wants to be, floral when it feels like it, sometimes rustic with a touch of wild funk from barrel fermentation, single varietals, or coferments. We also craft semi-sweet meads and rich, sweet pommeau, all rooted in local terroir and made on site.

Raging Cider barrels down a British punk edge that is independent, honest, and a little defiant. The culture is inclusive and community built. Step onto our cozy urban patio and you will quickly find there are no strangers here, even if it is your first pour, just good people, proper cider, and the quiet hum of fermentation tying it all together.
